REWARD OFFERED TO HELP SOLVE ILLEGAL DEER KILLING CASE IN JOHN DAY

Oregon State Police (OSP) Fish & Wildlife Division Troopers are asking for the public's help to identify the person(s) responsible for killing a buck deer with an arrow at the 7th Street Ballfield Complex in John Day.  A reward from the Oregon Hunter's Association (OHA) is offered to help solve this case.

OSP troopers investigating this case believe the deer was shot on, or about, August 19, 2009.  Investigation revealed the deer was shot with an arrow near the east end of the complex parking lot.  The wounded deer ran behind a nearby residence where it died.

The Oregon Hunter's Association Turn In Poachers (TIP) Program and local chapters of the Oregon Hunter's Association are offering a total reward of $500.00 for information leading to the arrest of a suspect or suspects responsible in this case.
