waste of two bull elk found Sunday in the Panther Creek area about 8 miles
 southwest of Crow.

On August 24, 2008, OSP Senior Trooper Martin Maher responded to begin an
investigation into a report of an illegally killed elk in the Panther Creek
area southwest of Crow. A bull elk was found with only the antlers removed,
and during the initial investigation the trooper found a second dead bull
elk near the location of the first. Both elk were shot and left to waste.
